RECIPES - Besan Ke Ladoo

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups Ladoo Besan or Besan, slightly coarse if not available then you can add 1/4 cup home ground coarse besan or 1/4 cup coarse shoji
  • ½ cup Ghee
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • ½ cup Cashew nuts, chopped
  • 1 level tsp Cardamom powder
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
For garnish:
  • Silver varq, or foil
  • Pistachios, slice
Methodology:
  1. In a kadai or deep frying pan add besan, roast it dry for a short time to get rid of any smell.
  2. Add turmeric powder to get a better color.
  3. Now, add ghee in besan and patch it well. Until you get the smell.
  4. Add 1 tsp of extra ghee for patching cashew in the mixture, add chopped cashew.
  5. Keep the mixture for cooling. Bring at room temperature.
  6. Now, add cardamom powder and powdered sugar in it and mix it well.
  7. Start shaping the ladoos.
  8. Once prepared, garnish with silver varq or foil and serve.
Tips:
  1. You can add watermelon seeds and patch.
  2. You can keep ground sugar in a plate and roll the ladoos in the sugar to coat.
